OUR WORSHIP

Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker! ~ Psalm 95:6

Corporate worship is central to the Christian life, for in worship God makes himself known to his people through the preaching of the gospel and the administration of the sacraments. Thus, at Calvary we desire to do in worship what God promises to use to build our faith. His preferences are to be our principles.

Because of this we know that our worship can feel and look a lot differently than other churches around us. Yet this is not because we are seeking to have a certain “worship style.” It is not our goal to be “contemporary” or “traditional”, or to gain a “market niche.” Rather, it is our aim to be God-centered in all we do in worship, and bring supreme honor and praise to our triune God.

We believe then that you will find worship at Calvary to be substantive, simple, and joyful.

Calvary whole-heartedly desires families to worship together! This includes children of all ages staying with their parents. We even welcome children who are making noise. As God blesses our body with growth, please make a concerted effort to fill the front pews and reserve the back couple of rows in the sanctuary for families with infants and young children. We have an Infant Room for parents (access from the foyer) which allows hearing and seeing the service.
